Licence Agreement

End-user licence agreement. Licensor: Amastran NET, operated by Ahmed Mahmood, info@amastran.net.

1. What you get. A personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use PaperStyle: Digital Notebook ("the app") on one computer at a time, for your own use, while your trial or subscription is active. The app is licensed, not sold.
2. What you may not do. Copy the app or its files except for backup of your installer; sell, rent, lend or sublicense it; remove its licensing checks; share one subscription between several people or computers; decompile, reverse-engineer or modify it except where the law gives you that right; re-create it or use it or its files to build a similar product, including by using AI tools to do any of this; use it to break the law or others' rights.
3. Ownership. We keep all rights in the app, its design, name and code. You keep all rights in the notebooks you create. We claim nothing in your content and cannot see it.
4. Licence checks. The app contacts our licensing service to start a trial, activate, and confirm your subscription, as described in the privacy policy. Normal offline use is allowed for up to 32 days between checks.
5. Updates. We may release updates that fix or change features. The app updates itself from updates.amastran.net.
6. Ending. The licence ends if your subscription ends, is refunded or charged back, or if you break this agreement. When it ends the app becomes read-only: you can still open and read your notebooks, but not change them. Your notebooks and backups are not deleted or changed.
7. No warranty. The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Keep your own backups.
8. Limit of liability. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited are not affected.
9. Third-party software. The app includes open-source components under their own licences. These are listed in our third-party notices, which we will send you on request at info@amastran.net.
10. Law. The laws of Pakistan apply, as set out in the terms of service.
